Today on this 2004 Jeep Liberty we are going to install part number 118382 from Tow Ready. To install this T-One harness the first thing we need to do is get access to the tail lights themselves which means you have to open up the back hatch, open up the tailgate, and remove the tail lights.

Starting with the passenger side there are two screws that we need to remove, little torque bits. We have got our light removed. Now we want to remove our wire harness from this point and this little clip right here.

This clip has an orange lock that we need to push that over to the side, do that with a screwdriver. Then push down on this point here and it should come apart.

We have got our passenger side light removed, lets go over to the driver side and repeat the same process. On the driver side of the vehicle the screws are in different locations. Instead of straight into the vehicle they are at an angle going this way. Then we can remove the driver side tail light as we did before. Now we can start installing the T-One harness.

First off we are going to our 4-pole in down in the cavity between the bumper fascia and the body work and it will come out down at the bottom of the bumper. The next thing we are going to through is the passenger side of the T-One harness with the green wire.

We are going to that through too because that will have to go underneath the vehicle to the other side. Next we are going to find a spot to mount our converter box. Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise Download.

There is a piece of sheet metal right below here that I think will work just fine. Clean it off and use double sided tape. Now we have got our factory wire harness that went to the tail light and that is going to get a T-One harness in between so we will take our T-One harness, plug it into the factory harness, push the lock together, and we are set with that part.

We will set this to the side for now and then we will install a ground screw for our ground wire. We will just use the sheet metal right behind the tail light.

Now we will take our other side of our T-One harness and plug that into the tail light. Push the lock in and reconnect the clip for the wire at the bottom of the tail light, tuck everything in, and reinstall the tail light.

The next thing we are going to do is route our green wire of the T-One connector across and we are just going to temporarily drape it across hitch or behind the bumper cover and past the exhaust and we will just leave it like that for now. We will get some zip ties and attach it to our hitch or we can attach it to the straps for the gas tank. Whichever is easier to get to. Now we will deal with our 4-pole harness. We will do the same thing we did before. We are just going to take our harness and tie it off at the hitch for now.

I think we will also zip tie it to the hitch and our excess we will just zip tie and take care of it back here in case you ever need some extra expansion you will already have it. Next we will work on the green wire on the passenger side of the vehicle. We are going to use a simple piece of wire just to pull it up from the bottom to the top and then we will pull out our wire and make sure it is not caught on anything and it is not on the exhaust.
