Raa, Office 2007 was available online as trial up until very recently. Isn't it the same version, just different licensing? I don't know how these things work, but I assume it is the same Office, just different license key to activate the product. After all, you are paying for the license, not media. If you order through Microsoft (and I am sure that they would send the disks for the P&H fee, rather than force you to upgrade) they would only be charging for Postage and Handling fees, the installation media by itself is worthless without a license to use it.
But you must understand that the license and the software itself are entirely separate things, and that the latter is covered by copyright law. When you pay, you pay for both a copy of the software, and the right to make limited copies of it (even the act of installing it creates a new copy.)
